Crypto Rock Series - Reconstituting a photograph using photos of the represented artist. Photographer-Artist – Creator of contemporary imagery Multidisciplinary photographer, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on gaze, presence and the perception of image in urban space. He first made a name for himself with a series devoted to window mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Subsequently, drawn to the singular aesthetic of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he continues this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost living presence, questioning our relationship to illusion and projection. New Series – Echo Waves / Echo Visions - A new reading of cultural icons The Echo Waves / Echo Visions series offers a contemporary rereading of cultural icons through an immersive and vibrant pop art aesthetic. Each work is built as a mosaic composed of thousands of micro-graphic components. From a distance, the image reveals a recognizable figure, while up close it reveals a wealth of visual details. Each fragment acts like a “wave,” evoking the artistic universe of the subject depicted. The creation process is long and demanding, requiring precision and mastery of graphic tools. An in-depth study is carried out on colors, light and the overall harmony of the image. Everything is created in an original and independent way. Edition & Production Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist’s proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are made on aluminum with an integrated rear mounting. Printed on luminous white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum panels, with soft UV- and humidity-resistant lamination, ensuring excellent durability, long-term color stability, and a modern, contemporary render. Bio / Career Since 2014, David Law has participated in around twenty contemporary art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the designated photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. In parallel with his visual work, he develops authorial work as a writer and musician, including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. A vocalist and guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
