ew series – Lost Souls David Law Photographer-Artist – Creator of contemporary imagery A multidisciplinary photographer-artist, author and musician, David Law develops work centered on gaze, presence and the perception of the image in urban space. He first became known for a series devoted to display mannequins, integrated into the city through a subtle play of reflections and superimpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave rise to an art book published in 2021. Later drawn to the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he continues this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost lifelike presence, challenging our relationship with illusion and projection. New series – Lost Souls With this series, David Law plunges into austere and dark universes, inhabited by suspended phantom silhouettes. These indistinct, almost erased presences drift in strange landscapes where emptiness becomes matter. Through a visual language built with the help of contemporary graphic tools, the artist explores the notions of isolation, trace and memory. A silent journey, at the borders of the visible and the invisible. Edition & Fabrication Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist's proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are made on aluminum with an integrated back mounting. Printing on bright white vinyl, mounted between two aluminum panels, with soft UV- and humidity-resistant lamination, guaranteeing excellent durability, long-term color stability and a modern, contemporary appearance. parcours Since 2014, David Law has participated in around twenty contemporary art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the official photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. In parallel with his visual activity, he develops an author-musician career including three novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book and five self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
