Champagne cooler, champagne bucket, cooler, bucket, ice bucket, wine cooler, seau, Stunning Art Deco champagne cooler, made for the house "De Castellane" founded in 1895 in Épernay, near Reims. Lovely vintage piece, the cooler features an inset plaque with the inscription: "CHAMPAGNE DE CASTELLANE", rendered in white enamel letters. The bottom bears a stamp placed by the maker: ARGIT, Made in France. ARGIT is an authority in champagne coolers and supplies to almost all the major houses. Original, honest old piece from the 1940s, with character, experience and age. Virtually impossible to find, very rare, making it a true collector’s item. A particularly charming piece, in excellent condition. Dimensions: Height 20.5 cm. Width 25 cm. (including handles) Diameter 19.5 cm. Wine bottle does not belong to this lot.
