De Porceleyne Fles

Here is a magnificent collection of 4 Delft plates comprising: - Three festooned plates hand-painted by the prestigious Royal Delft (De Porceleyne Fles) in the 1960s-1970s. Each plate bears on the back the authentic marks of the painting of the small bottle. Beneath the marks are the initials J T, which are combined together. These initials represent the name JOOST THOOFT, who bought the factory in 1876. Under the initials is the word "Delft"; at the bottom left are the painter's initials and to the right a code representing the year of manufacture of the item. Diameter 19.6 cm. Wall-mounting element. - A Polychrome plate from Velsen, Sassenheim, diameter 25 cm, height 3 cm, hand-painted and depicting the basket of birds with a garland of flowers around the rim.
