Exclusive, monumental oval wall plaque from the world-famous earthenware factory De Porceleyne Fles (Royal Delft) dating from 1979. This exceptional collector’s item is executed in the refined and rare Delsepia technique (sepia ink tones on a light background) and shows a historical cityscape. Historical depiction The plaque shows a detailed depiction of the historical "Marktplatz in Essen um 1800" with the prominent Marktkirche on the right side. Since large parts of this inner city were lost during World War II, this concerns a historically very valuable image. Master potter-painter Jan Dessens This specific piece is unique because it is fully designed (Design) and hand-painted (Ausführung) by the well-known chief designer and master potter-painter Jan Dessens (1921–2006). Dessens was one of the absolute pillars of the factory in the 20th century. Extremely limited edition (Unicum) The object is part of an extremely minimal series.
