Alle Auktionen / Teppiche & Textilien / Designer Carpet - Loribaft Design - New - Rug - 178 cm - 119 cm
This hand-knotted designer rug from Pakistan presents itself in the characteristic Loribaft design and combines traditional, nomad-inspired motifs with a modern, clearly structured composition. The varied patterned bands and the strong yet harmonious color palette make it a decorative one-off piece. In the center there is a rectangular, multicolored field with numerous stylized trees, animals, flowers, geometric symbols and small ornaments. The horizontally arranged patterned stripes recall traditional Gabbeh and Loribaft designs. A broad dark blue frame effectively highlights the central field. The outer areas echo the ornamental design in many small squares, plant motifs and geometric shapes. Especially appealing is the contrast between dark blue, rust red, terracotta and turquoise as well as the lighter beige and natural tones.
