A CONVERSATION BETWEEN ROBERT DOISNEAU AND HENRI ALEKAN ABOUT THEIR SHARED PASSION: LIGHT. This book contains the complete transcript of the July 8, 1992, conversation at the Théâtre du Ranelagh between Robert Doisneau and Henri Alekan, illustrated with photographs selected by the two artists. This conversation also served as the basis for a documentary directed by Franck Saunier. A particularly fascinating dialogue between two major figures in French visual arts—Doisneau, known for humanist photography, and Alekan, known for cinematic lighting—exploring their artistic practices, memories, and approaches to lighting. Illustrated notably with photographs by Doisneau, including *Le Compas céleste*, as well as documents related to the meeting. Condition: a good copy. The cover shows some scuffing, scratches, and minor stains from normal use; a few marginal marks and creases; the interior is in good condition.
