Domaine de la Taille aux Loups is the estate of Jacky Blot, a former wine broker who from 1989 built a holding of old-vine parcels at Montlouis-sur-Loire, across the river from Vouvray, and became one of the Loire's most exacting growers of dry Chenin Blanc. Les Hauts de Husseau is a dry Montlouis from very old vines on clay-limestone over tuffeau, here in magnum. James Molesworth from Wine Spectator gave it a rating of 93, and Richard Hemming MW gave it 17 out of 20.
