Donald's Penguin : Lot of 2 - Donald Duck and Tootsie Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1939) + CERTIFICATE « Get out of there!" This lot showcases animation drawings of two feisty feathered Walt Disney characters, Donald Duck and Tootsie from the short film Donald's Penguin. Directed by Jack King, this short premiered over 85 years ago. After receiving a package from the South Pole, Donald Duck finds himself the caretaker of a rowdy penguin named Tootsie. While the mischievous Tootsie eats all his pet fish, he can't find it in him to hurt the poor penguin. Capturing a wacky chase from before Donald comes to that realization, this set of drawings found starting near the 4:55 timestamp as Tootsie slides into a closet, followed by Donald pulling out the big guns. Rendered in graphite and colored pencil. These vintage pieces of production artwork show light production handling wear, edge wear, and light age-related toning. The paper used by Disney studios in the 1920s-1930s contains a distinctive watermark, visible in one of the photos, which further attests to its authenticity. Condition : Good (See photos).
