Alle Auktionen / Zeitgenössische Kunst / E. García - Interior mexicano XXL
“Mexican Interior” is a 200 × 150 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. The work depicts an interior opening onto a lush courtyard, built through a succession of doors, arches, and planes of color that guide the eye from the foreground to a small pool at the heart of the composition. The architecture acts as a frame within the painting itself, creating depth and a strong sense of movement. The palette is dominated by bright yellows, oranges, intense blues, and a wide variety of greens. The large dark doors serve as a counterpoint and frame the clarity of the courtyard, where vegetation, pots, and the water’s reflection generate a fresh and vibrant atmosphere. The architectural and decorative elements evoke the Mexican visual universe: floors with geometric motifs, walls saturated with color, abundant vegetation, arches, and the blending of interior and exterior spaces. More than a meticulous description, the scene is built with patches of color and a visible brushstroke that simplifies shapes and intensifies their impact. The free treatment of perspective and, especially, the prominence given to color establish echoes with Fauvism. The tones are not limited to describing the space; they organize the composition and create contrasts between warm and cool zones: the orange in the foreground leads to the yellow of the courtyard, while blues, greens, and turquoises balance the scene’s intensity. In “Mexican Interior,” Ernest García turns domestic architecture into a chromatic experience. Open doors, vegetation, and water build an image of Mediterranean and tropical character at once, where color, light, and the feeling of refuge are the true protagonists. Authenticity and Shipping: The work is offered directly by E. García, guaranteeing its authenticity with a certificate signed by the artist himself. The painting will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube for shipping. After payment is confirmed, a period of three days is required to prepare and send the piece. Delivery time will depend on the destination, with a maximum of up to ten business days.
