Alle Auktionen / Zeitgenössische Kunst / E. García - Retiro junto al mar XL
“Retiro junto al mar” is a 100×70 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. The work depicts a bedroom opening directly toward the sea, turning an everyday scene into a space of calm and escape. The bed, the red armchair, and the large open window build an intimate composition that guides the gaze from the interior to the blue horizon. The palette combines marine and sky blues with intense reds, oranges, and yellows, creating an appealing contrast between cool and warm tones. The geometric rug and the armchair add chromatic strength to the foreground, while the white curtains and the bed linens introduce luminosity and lightness. The loose brushwork, simplified forms, and expressive use of color show echoes of Fauvism, especially in the freedom with which space and atmosphere are constructed. “Retiro junto al mar” conveys the sensation of a bright and tranquil Mediterranean living space, where interior and landscape seem to form part of the same refuge. Authenticity and Shipping: The work is offered directly by E. García, guaranteeing its authenticity with a certificate signed by the artist himself. The painting will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube for shipping. Upon payment confirmation, a period of three days is required to prepare the piece and ship it. Delivery time will depend on the destination, with a maximum of up to ten business days.
