The vessel is distinguished by its twin flaring spouts joined by an arched handle, rising from a rounded body. Its surface has been polished to a lustrous sheen and decorated in the renowned Santa Clara "black-on-black" technique, wherein a matte slip is applied over the burnished finish to create geometric patterns.
