Ca. 1400 - 1200 BC. A bronze dagger with a long tapering blade with a low central rib, narrowing to a sharp point. The grip is encircled by narrow collars and decorated with bands of herringbone ornament. The hilt terminates in a lunate pommel. Size: 310mm x 55mm; Weight: 320g Provenance: UK Private Collection; Ex. Bodo Bruno Bernhard Ble� collection, Germany, 2000s-2010s; Rosemary and George Lois collection, USA, 1970s-2000s, acquired in US art gallery in 1970s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
