Alle Auktionen / Sonstige / École Espagnole Ancienne (c. 1800) - Panier à Fleurs
- Oil on canvas. Original canvas lined. - Few pictorial genres in Hispanic art bear a loyalty as stubborn and fascinating as the flower still life, where the compositional schemes fixed at the end of the 16th century —with Blas de Ledesma, Juan van der Hamen and the Escorial sobriety— survived almost intact across three centuries. While the rest of Europe succumbed to the theatrical overflow of the Baroque or to the ethereal coquetry of the Rococo, the Spanish vase persisted in a structure deeply contemplative and almost mystical: a central container —here a wicker basket hand-crafted— that emerges from an abyssal shadow to support a symmetric, dense and rigorously ordered arrangement. Light, far from blurring the objects in a frivolous play, cuts each corolla, tulip, and narcissus with an almost botanical precision and a gravity devoid of artifice; it is the persistence of a gaze that understands the flower not as mere palace decor, but as a silent meditation exercise, where the austere geometry of the Empire of Philip II refuses to die, freezing the brevity of nature in a vanitas immune to the passage of time. - Dimensions of the image without frame: 42 x 61 cm / 55 x 74 cm with exclusive custom frame. In Montbaron Gallery, we are pleased to offer our clients an exclusive selection of artworks, all of them unique, original and unrepeatable. Each piece in our gallery is the result of a deep dedication, a creative vision and masterful technique, characteristics that guarantee its authenticity. The works we sell are not industrial reproductions; they are pieces created individually by recognized artists, each with its own history and essence. Originality is the basis of our commitment to excellence and, therefore, every painting or sculpture that forms part of our collection is carefully selected to ensure its singularity. Acquiring a work from Montbaron Gallery means owning an irrepeatable piece, an investment in creativity and talent that, over time, will preserve its artistic and emotional value. We are proud to offer works that not only beautify spaces but also connect our clients with the richness of human expression through the most authentic art. Thus, we guarantee that every work that leaves our gallery is a unique piece in the world, with no replicas, and a testament to the innovation and passion of the artists with whom we work. Certain lots, due to their age and value, require an export permit granted by the Ministry of Culture. Although it is an administrative procedure, it is indispensable to ensure the authenticity of the work and its free circulation internationally. Montbaron Gallery is committed to offering its clients original, unique and unrepeatable artworks, guaranteeing the authenticity and quality of every piece in our collection. To ensure transparency and trust in every acquisition, we offer a digital Certificate of Guarantee, signed by a certified art historian. This certificate certifies that the acquired work has been authenticated by our specialists, who verify its authorship, origin and conservation status. The Certificate of Guarantee includes full details about the piece, such as author, date of creation, technique used, and dimensions. The digital Certificate of Guarantee will be issued at the client’s request, providing an official reference for the acquired piece. This document will be sent in digital format and will be signed by a gallery art historian, ensuring its validity and support. We are committed to client satisfaction and confidence, so any questions about authenticity or the condition of the work will be addressed professionally and diligently. To request your Certificate of Guarantee, please contact us through our usual channels. As experts in the logistics of artworks, at Montbaron Gallery we commit to ensuring that each piece arrives at its destination safely and in the best possible condition. For this, we work with a network of specialists in art transport who guarantee maximum care throughout the process. It is important to note that the shipping cost prices shown in the listing are indicative and subject to modification depending on various circumstances. These include variations in transport market rates, changes in the delivery location, the size and weight of the work, and possible extraordinary circumstances, such as fuel cost fluctuations or adjustments to customs and import tariffs. The final shipping cost will be calculated precisely based on these factors, and the client will always be informed beforehand before proceeding with the shipment. Our objective is to offer the best possible service, adapting to each client’s needs and ensuring that the work arrives at its destination quickly and safely, with no surprises. The frame shown in the previous images has been added to the work by a third party or by the seller, so it is not an integral part of the object. This frame is provided at no additional cost so that, when the work arrives at your home, it can be displayed immediately on your wall. Consequently, damages to the frame that do not affect the integrity of the work will not be accepted as a valid reason to file a claim or request a cancellation.
