This painting presents an expansive rural landscape formed by a succession of hills, fields and mountains unfolding beneath a sky of great luminosity. The scene conveys a sense of breadth and freedom, as if the viewer were facing an open territory that extends beyond the visible limits. The intense greens, reddish browns, golden yellows and violet blues divide the landscape into broad color zones and build a cheerful, warm vision deeply connected to nature. In the foreground extends a large land surface dominated by browns, ochers, oranges and reddish tones. This area occupies a good part of the composition and forms a warm base from which the rest of the landscape rises. Small chromatic variations suggest irregular terrain, covered with low vegetation, disturbed earth or fields prepared for cultivation. In the lower central area appears a wide green hill advancing toward the viewer. Its intense color contrasts with the surrounding brown areas and brings freshness to the scene. Within this space are blueish, pinkish, yellowish and dark nuances that suggest plants, small flowers, shadows and changes in the ground surface. The curved shape of this green hill creates a sense of movement and directs the gaze toward the center of the landscape. Its edges are not completely straight, but blend with nearby reddish lands. This irregular transition reinforces the impression of a natural territory, where plots and elevations adapt to the relief rather than following a rigid structure. To the right of the foreground lies another large expanse of ochre and golden color. Numerous clear, greenish and bluish shapes are distributed in a repeated pattern. These variations can recall the furrows of a cultivated field, dry vegetation, or the light reflected on the earth. The area brings brightness and visually balances the intense green on the left. The encounter between the different fields creates a kind of natural mosaic. The plots overlap through curves and diagonals, forming a path that moves from the foreground to the mountains. The colors differentiate each terrain: some appear fertile and covered with vegetation, while others evoke dry fields, recently harvested, or prepared for a new sowing. In the central zone stretches a wide band of reddish-brown earth that crosses the landscape horizontally. Its warm tones combine with yellows and small greenish reflections. This surface acts as a transition between the nearby hills and the farther lands, providing depth and continuity to the scene. Above this band appears a golden field that rises gently to the left. Its yellow and ochre color suggests ripe crops illuminated by the sun. The inclined shape of the land guides the eye toward a green hill further back. In this way, the different planes are linked by a succession of curves that give rhythm to the landscape. The left-hand green hill stands out for its luminosity. Its light green and yellowish tones convey the feeling of fresh vegetation exposed to light. Its contour descends toward the center and meets the golden and reddish fields. This chromatic variety evokes an agricultural landscape where each plot is in a different moment of the natural cycle. Amid the fields, slightly to the right, appears a small rural building. Its elongated and low shape is accompanied by a reddish roof that stands out against the yellow and brown ground. Although it occupies a small space, its presence is important because it introduces a human reference within the vastness of the landscape. The building seems to be a country house, a barn, or a structure linked to agricultural work. Its colors blend with the earth tones so as not to break the harmony of the surroundings. The reddish roof establishes a relationship with the warm fields in the foreground, while the light walls partially fuse with the hill on which it stands. The small scale of the house against the vastness of the mountains reinforces the sense of distance. The building seems solitary, located in a quiet, secluded place. Its presence allows imagining rural life of those who work these lands, even though there are no people, animals, or clearly defined paths. Behind the building rises an extensive mountain range dominated by blues, violets and purples. Its forms occupy almost the entire width of the composition and create a powerful horizon barrier. The main mountain, located toward the right, presents a broad, high summit, while the elevations on the left are lower and sharper. The mountains are traversed by different color zones suggesting slopes, ravines, shadows and relief changes. Dark purples alternate with lighter blues and small pink reflections. This variety prevents the mass of the mountains from feeling uniform and gives them great presence, as if they were protecting the fields spread at their feet. The cool color of the mountains contrasts intensely with the warm tones of the earth and sky. The brown, golden and green fields seem to advance toward the viewer, while the bluish mountains recede visually into the distance. This relationship between warm and cool colors helps build a strong sense of depth. In the far left, a small triangular elevation separate from the main chain is observed. Its dark profile stands out against the bright sky and serves as an entry point to the mountainous horizon. Next, the peaks unfold through rises and falls until reaching the great mountain on the right. The sky occupies a broad band in the upper part and is composed of yellows, oranges, ochres, pinks, violets and small pale areas. Its luminosity envelops the scene and seems to correspond to sunset, when the light transforms the colors of the land and the mountains. The absence of a dominant blue gives the sky a warm, enveloping character. The numerous irregular shapes of the sky create the impression of clouds lit by the light. Some areas are yellow and bright, while others show orange, reddish or violet tones. This combination conveys movement and suggests a changing atmosphere, between daylight and the arrival of evening. The sky seems to reflect indirectly on the fields. The yellows and oranges at the top reappear in the golden plots, while the violets and blues find continuity in the mountains. Thanks to these correspondences, all parts of the landscape are united and participate in a single atmosphere. The scene is characterized by the absence of visible human figures. However, the fields divided into plots and the small central building reveal the presence of agricultural work. The landscape is not completely wild, but a territory transformed and cared for by its inhabitants. This coexistence between nature and human activity is presented in a balanced and tranquil way. The painting can also be interpreted as a representation of the passage of the seasons. The green fields could symbolize growth and renewal, while the gold and reddish zones evoke the maturity of harvests and the end of the agricultural cycle. All these states coexist simultaneously, showing the diversity and richness of the land. The vastness of the territory invites imagining the quiet of the countryside, the wind sweeping the hills and the light slowly descending on the mountains. The small house becomes a refuge within this open space. Its isolation does not convey sadness, but a sense of peace, stability and deep connection with the surroundings. The composition manages to maintain a balance between the large swathes of color. The greens in the foreground and on the left hill balance with the browns and golds of the center, while the bluish mountain provides a cool, solid background. The warm sky completes the scene and envelops all elements with a uniform luminosity. Overall, this painting offers a broad, colorful and serene view of a rural landscape formed by green fields, reddish lands, golden plots, a small isolated building and an extensive mountain range under a warm sky. The succession of hills creates depth and movement, while the contrast between the earth, the mountains and the horizon conveys vitality and harmony. The work represents the grandeur of the territory, the tranquility of rural life and the changing beauty of nature at the end of the day.
