Middle Kingdom to Third Intermediate Period, Ca. 2055 - 1550 BC. A gold swivel ring with a thick, rounded hoop, the shoulders wrapped with fine coiled wire supporting a rotating scarab. The base is carved with the nefer sign and sun disc arranged vertically at the centre, surrounded by intertwined S-spirals, with paired uraei above and below.
