Elegant "Vegetable Brooch" With Tourmaline in Yellow Gold, 1930s

A special, today somewhat forgotten fashion of the mid-20th century were magnificent pieces of jewellery in the so-called "vegetable style". Slightly abstracted plant forms proliferate over the designs, close together next to precious gemstones. The brooch here is a fine example of this style. Large, finely detailed leaves sprout next to coiled vines to the right and left around a glowing tourmaline. They are made of warmly shimmering yellow gold and fill an elongated frame. The brooch was made in Germany. It is signed on the back with the initials "HE". Who this was is so far hidden in the darkness of history - the brooch itself shines all the brighter for it. An independent certificate has confirmed the quality of the materials. It is supplied with the brooch.
