An excursion to the tropics, a walk in the woods, an afternoon under palm trees, or a glimpse into an enchanted garden: with every glance, this sumptuously decorated ring from the years around 1970 transports us into a proliferating vegetation, into another world full of life, whose beauty in the smallest of spaces reveals itself only to the gaze, without ever having to travel itself. The vintage ring, a jewel of the years around 1970, sets a natural emerald. The oval star cut stone draws us into its interior like light. Above all, its intense green colour is captivating. A so-called "jardin", fine crystal inclusions are visible and show the naturalness of the stone. In places they come right up to the surface of the slab, in other places they draw the eye into the stone. It is as if one were looking from a clearing into a beckoning thicket. The emerald, the colour of a tropical noon, is framed by an entourage of 1.47 ct pure white diamonds of very good quality. Their white fire competes with the emerald, highlighting the intense green of the emerald. The setting and ring rail are forged from white gold. The oval ring head gives the emerald plenty of room to shine. At the same time, the lattice-shaped gallery also allows light to fall into the stones from below, allowing them to unfold their play of colour and fire. We have had the quality of the emerald examined by an independent laboratory in Idar-Oberstein. The certificate shown here, which confirms the materials and value of the ring, will be delivered with the piece.
