Exceptional and highly sought-after collectible lot for enthusiasts of classic aeromodelling and scale mechanical engineering. Offered is an original Graupner / O.S. Engines System NSU/Wankel rotary motor (Generation 1 / Mk I), originally released in 1970 under reference Best.-Nr. 1800. This specimen is a premium collectible piece with normal signs of prior use, but preserved in a state of very high aesthetic preservation: * Mechanical Condition: The front conical cap unscrews perfectly with its original rod. The engine shows marks consistent with prior use. The internal structural shaft is currently rigid/compressed due to natural solidification of the protective castor oil residue after decades of storage (the standard “gummed up” effect in these engines). It is not seized; it requires the usual gentle heat treatment and a few drops of fine lubricant by the buyer to dissolve the old oil varnish and safely free the rotor from turning. * Lot Integrity: Includes the original 4.9 cc Wankel engine (.30 cu.in.), the factory black muffler, the spark plug, the torsion rod/stud, the original polystyrene protective cradle, and the classic instruction manual (Betriebsanleitung). * Aesthetic Condition: Very good visual condition. The cooling fins and the cast block are clean and free of structural cracks. The original Graupner box shows the usual cosmetic wear on the corners from prolonged storage.
