English school (XIX) - Pendants Paisajes marítimos con...

Pair of oil paintings on canvas conceived as pendants, with complementary compositions and subject matter. Both works depict classic maritime landscapes, with tranquil bays framed by vegetation and rocky formations. The scenes feature several sailing vessels and small figures fishing by the shore. The palette employs ochre tones, greens and bluish hues, with a bright, serene atmosphere. The composition of each painting stands out for the contrast between the dark vegetation along the shores and the clarity of the sky and water. The pair is presented in gilded, ornamentally embossed frames that enhance their decorative character and reinforce the visual unity of the set. Both works bear a signature at the bottom that could not be identified with certainty. For this reason, they are offered as unsigned works, without attribution to a specific artist. Technique: Oil on panel Set: Pair of pendant paintings Theme: Maritime landscapes with sailing ships and figures fishing Signature: Present on one of the works, not identified Framed: Yes, gilded ornamental frames Dimensions: 71x42 cm with frame, 47x26 cm without frame It is recommended to consult the photographs to assess the condition of both the paintings and the frames.
