Studied law at the University of Milan and painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. 1951 - Founded with Sergio Dangelo the Movimento Arte Nucleare (Nuclear Art Movement), political art against abstract art and the nuclear threat. 1952-1953 - Founded with Asger Jorn the International Movement for an Imagist Bauhaus, against the rationalization of art.
