Signs of aging and slight halos on the mat, as visible in the photographic documentation. Description Oil painting on pressed cardboard depicting a typical rural mountain vista, a characteristic subject of the Lombard painter Ercole Magrotti. The composition frames in the foreground a rustic stone farmhouse with a dirt courtyard, animated by a peasant figure and domestic animals. In the background the view opens onto gentle rolling hills descending toward the horizon, under a bright sky pierced by fluffy clouds. The painting is distinguished by a thick impasto and a balanced palette, dominated by earthy tones, natural greens and hints of bright blue. On the back the identifying label bearing the artist's name and the title Mountain Landscape is applied.
