eros raffael - Eros Raffael - Sculpture, FU010 - 58 cm - Murano glass - 2003

This magnificent work of art is an exclusive sculptural vase crafted entirely in authentic Murano hand-blown glass. The piece testifies to the extraordinary excellence of Venetian glassmaking and has been shaped by the creative genius of Master Eros Raffael. The sculpture dates from a historically and artistically prestigious period: the era when Master Raffael devoted his talent to producing works exclusively in hand-blown glass. To adorn and render this object unique, the complex and fascinating technique "a piera" is used. This technique is manifested in the intricate central inset, which recalls the textures of stone or mosaic (with elegant contrasts in white, black and gray), creating a remarkable material dialogue with the surrounding glass’s transparency. Design and Colors The sinuous, slender, organic lines culminate in a distinctive two-neck asymmetric shape, giving the sculpture a sense of movement and timeless elegance. The warm, vibrant tones of amber and orange blend harmoniously with soft shades of green. Thanks to the purity of hand-blown glass, light passes through the work, projecting suggestive, warm chromatic reflections on the surrounding surfaces, as seen in the splendid shadows the vase is capable of creating.
