Alle Auktionen / Sonstige / Escuela Impresionista Francesa (XIX) - Au Plen Air
Title: Au Plein Air ㅤ School: European Impresionista School (19th century) ㅤ Style: Landscape Impressionism ㅤ Technique: Oil on canvas ㅤ State: Good overall condition for its age. It presents restorations. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: Work linked to the European landscape tradition of the late 19th century, with a conception close to plein air painting developed by Impressionist and naturalist artists. The direct representation of the environment, attention to atmospheric and luminous effects and loose brushwork evidence the influence of the renewal of the European landscape in the last third of the 19th century. ㅤ The composition represents a tranquil river landscape dominated in the foreground by several trees with sturdy trunks and irregular branches framing the scene from the right side. The serene waters of the river reflect the greyish tones of the sky, while a small boat appears near the shore, adding depth and a discreet narrative element. In the background stretches a wide plain that visually leads toward mountain elevations wrapped in a pale atmosphere. ㅤ The palette is built with subdued greens, earth tones, greys and soft blues, with diffuse lighting typical of a cloudy day. The free brushwork and the search for the changing effects of light on the water and vegetation reinforce the impressionist character of the work. The composition conveys serenity and a marked sensitivity to the direct observation of nature. ㅤ The work is presented with a wide black wooden frame, richly worked with successive moldings and relief decoration of a classical nature. Its dark finish creates a strong contrast with the light, natural tones of the landscape, adding presence and depth to the whole. ㅤ Observations: The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. In that case, we will require photographs of the damage to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority. ㅤ Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge for reasons such as being outside continental territory, exceeding dimensions or weight of the item. PremiArt will never cover this surcharge. ㅤ The courier that must cross the Swiss border can experience delays much longer than normal, so, if possible, to speed up processing, we will provide the Customs number that is holding the shipment so that the customer can unlock it and thus have it reach its destination. Experience has taught us that this is the most effective solution for both parties. ㅤ Due to the high volume of shipments it is possible that the order is delayed more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience. Any questions about your order please contact us via internal messaging. ㅤ Dimensions: 33 × 41 cm Dimensions with frame: 50 × 58 cm
