Alle Auktionen / Sonstige / Estilo Maison Jansen - Shelving unit - Gilt brass - towel rack
It is a shelf-towel rack that embodies the warm, bright glamour so characteristic of the mid-20th century, when golden brass became a fetish material for sophisticated interiors and for names like Maison Jansen, which knew how to blend functionality with theatrical flair with effortless elegance. Here, the vertical, clean, geometric structure rests on four rounded feet that provide stability and a touch of classicism, while the upper caps act as small decorative notes—almost jewels—that crown the piece with discreet elegance. The golden brass, with its luminous yet restrained finish, directly recalls the Hollywood Regency universe, where metallic shine was used to create warm, glamorous, and subtly theatrical atmospheres. The surface shows that deep, honey-like tone that metals lend only when carefully worked and aged with dignity. The structure is designed to be versatile: it can stand on its own, functioning as a small shelf or independent towel rack, or be wall-mounted thanks to the rear slots designed for secure brackets. This dual functionality is very characteristic of mid-century furniture, where adaptability was as important as aesthetics. Together, it is a piece that combines visual lightness, decorative shine, and practicality—perfect for an elegant bathroom, a vintage-tinged dressing room, or even a bedroom corner where the golden brass brings that touch of classic sophistication. Tracked shipping with secure packaging.
