Alle Auktionen / Möbel, Design und Spiegel / Étagère - Brass, Steel, Glass
For sale at auction, an icon of 1960s Italian design: an elegant étagère/display case attributed to the style and signature of Romeo Rega. Made with a refined combination of crystal and chrome-plated metal, this precious work of art is an authentic expression of the era's style and elegance. Its condition preserves a light patina that testifies to its history, while some marks on the chrome and brass, consistent with the passage of time, highlight its authenticity. Deliberately left unrestored and unwaxed, this étagère exudes a unique charm that only time can confer, leaving the buyer the option to leave it as is or polish it to suit their tastes. It should be noted that, as clearly visible in the photographs, the glass of the lower shelf/base is missing. Being a simple, linear element, it can be easily custom-made by a common glassmaker. The side glass panels also show some marks and small imperfections compatible with the object's age and historical value. The étagère is sold as-is, with the remaining glass shelves present. With transparent crystal shelves and chrome main components, this Italian design marvel presents a width of 80 cm, a height of 140 cm, and a depth of 35 cm, perfect for stylishly displaying books, works of art, or precious collections. Our custom packaging ensures that this piece of art arrives in the best possible condition, protecting it during shipment and ensuring its splendor is ready to illuminate any space with its distinctive presence.
