Alle Auktionen / Etnografica / Ethiopian Welo Opal Necklace - 925 silver Lock...
A unique jewel of refined natural beauty — This magnificent necklace, created with Welo opal pearls from Ethiopia, embodies natural elegance and timeless brilliance. Each pearl, in a rondelle shape, has been carefully polished to maximize its intrinsic luster and the famous phenomenon of the "play-of-color", which dances on the surface with iridescent glints of various tones. The milky transparency and inner light nuances confer to this jewel an almost ethereal aura, making it a distinctive and refined accessory. Welo opal, discovered in Ethiopia in the early 2000s, quickly became one of the most sought-after minerals in the world of jewelry and collecting. Its peculiarity lies in the ability to absorb water and show a change in its opalescence, a phenomenon known as hydrophane. This specimen presents excellent quality, with intense iridescence that catches the eye and creates a dynamic play of colors as light varies, ranging from sparkling greens to deep blues, fiery reds, and vivid yellows. The rondelle pearl composition offers a comfortable fit and a smooth, harmonious appearance, allowing the strand to drape gracefully around the neck. The silver clasp adds a touch of refinement and security, completing the jewelry's aesthetics with a precious metal choice that enhances its intrinsic beauty. The attention to detail in gemstone selection and workmanship makes this necklace a collectible piece, ideal for those who appreciate the art of nature and artisanal craftsmanship. Perfect for enriching a collection of precious gems or as a distinctive piece for special evenings, this Welo opal necklace is an investment in beauty and a symbol of refinement. Its versatility allows it to be worn for formal occasions or to add a touch of elegance to a daily outfit, always ensuring an impression of grace and distinction. Small irregularities or color variations can be attributed to the natural formation of the gems, testifying to their authenticity and unique character.
