This 1970s ring immediately won us over. Not only is the design as elegant and clear as one would wish for in a jewel of this era, but the diamond in the centre is of such good quality that it is a joy to lose yourself in its light and sparkle. An independent appraisal has recorded the facts about the diamond, all of which are first-class. The stone weighs 1.82 ct and is therefore the ideal size for everyday wear. It also has the best colour grade: River, D. In fact, the colour grading of diamonds only begins with the letter "D" - when the American GIA introduced the colour scale with the letter designations in 1953, other systems already existed which used the letters A, B and C. And in order to avoid confusion, the company's own colour scale, which is authoritative today, began with "D". But it's not just the colour and weight that are ideal. The cut, the proportions and also the symmetry of the diamond are "very good". And finally, it shows no fluorescence: here too, it is exactly as a diamond solitaire should be. The ring in which the diamond is set accompanies the stone with two smaller trapezoid-cut diamonds. All the stones are lifted high above the finger by the clearly defined setting made from high-carat white gold. When worn, only the diamonds are visible from above. We discovered the ring in Zurich. The appraisal will be delivered with the ring.
