This piece of jewellery is a spectacular sight: Because it comes in the form of a bold bow made of shiny yellow gold! The design features a cabochon of natural Mediterranean coral in the center, flanked by two baguette-cut diamonds. With its daring shape and playful, slightly tongue-in-cheek irony for all its splendour, the bow could not be more typical of a piece of jewellery from the 1980s. The decade was characterized by economic prosperity for large sections of the population. People had enough money and loved to show it off. Jewellery offered the ideal opportunity for self-expression and the development of a luxurious lifestyle. At the same time, a new image of women emerged. Self-confident and tough, asserting herself at work, successful in the face of men, with broad shoulder pads and high heels, she adorned herself with rings, necklaces and brooches in hitherto unfamiliar dimensions, with reflective surfaces made of yellow gold - as we also see on our bow. The accessory made of forty-five grams of high-carat gold can be worn both as a brooch and as a pendant. It is in excellent condition and makes a fashion statement for a self-confident wearer or an extravagant wearer. In any case, it is sure to turn heads!
