Farahan Samarkand - Rug - 268 cm - 188 cm

The city of Samarkand itself is located in the southeast of Uzbekistan. Due to its proximity to Afghanistan, the carpets in design and weaving resemble the well-known Ziegler carpets. Samarkand carpets are also often called "Ariana Khorjin". In recent years these carpets have gained popularity. The pile of this rug is kept relatively flat, yet it provides a soft feel under the feet. A special feature of Ariana Farahan carpets is the glossy wool – which is not only very soft but also known for its durability. The Samarkand rug can also be laid in heavily frequented rooms. The varied and subdued colors suit all rooms well and radiate warmth. The rug was imported into the EU in 2026.
