Description FASE President desk lamp, one of the most representative designs of Spanish mid-20th-century lighting. The piece features the characteristic circular, futurist-inspired lampshade, finished in black, with a chrome metal frame, wooden arm, and a solid circular base. The shade is adjustable and the base allows swiveling. It preserves the distinctive glass diffuser and has two E27 lamp holders. The bottom bears the original inscription “fase – Modelos patentados – MADRID-ESPAÑA,” an important identification element of FASE manufacture. The President model is associated with the Spanish designer Luis Pérez de la Oliva and the early years of FASE. The design was patented in 1963 by Luis Pérez de la Oliva and Pedro Martín García. A piece of great interest for collectors of Spanish design, vintage lighting, and 1960s–70s design. Its aesthetics align with the Modern Movement and the futuristic current known as Space Age.
