Felice Giusti (XIX) - Marinai nell'isola di Capri

Oil on canvas depicting a classic Neapolitan school maritime scene, attributed to the master Felice Giusti. The work captures with great mastery and sensitivity the daily life of fishermen in the Gulf of Naples (in the background the magnificent island of Capri). The composition is balanced and rich in detail: in the foreground several fishing boats with the sailors engaged in their activities, while the warm and subdued light of the sky reflects quite naturally on the water’s surface. The brushwork is fluid, vibrant and textured. Signature: Signed bottom left (F. Giusti). Era: Late 19th - Early 20th century. Technique: Oil on canvas. cm on canvas only 28.5×51.4 approx.
