Felipe Urrutia - XL - Intersección

Intersection acrylic and oil pastel on canvas 120x90 2026 (The work already includes a white margin of 4 cm to leave it when framing; it is part of the piece. If you do not want to leave that margin, the painting would be approximately 75x95). Felipe Urrutia (1995) is a Spanish artist of 30 years. His artistic practice began at an early age, initially exploring Cubist figuration and traversing various styles until he consolidated a language of his own that combines synthesis, intuition, and emotion. Flowing today into a body of works that oscillate between stripped-down figuration and symbolic abstraction. With a fresh and carefree brushstroke, Urrutia constructs characters and abstract landscapes that seem to emerge from an intermediate territory between the real and the emotional. In them, forms dissolve to reveal the overlap of feelings that inhabit daily life. He believes in portraiture as a tool capable of condensing multiple truths at the same time, of capturing what is visible and what is invisible in a single gesture. Often he combines the pictorial image with the written word, generating a dialogue that reinforces his expressive intention. This coexistence of text and painting does not seek to illustrate, but to widen meaning, provoke resonances, and question the relationship between what is said and what is felt. He has exhibited in several countries, including the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Italy, establishing an international trajectory on the rise. His work is part of numerous private and public collections, and he continues developing a practice that is distinguished by its authenticity, its sensitive perspective, and its commitment to exploring the human condition.
