fernand martin - VERY RARE FERNAND MARTIN 1910 ‘LES...

Description: For the absolute connoisseur and top collector of antique French tin toy figures: an almost unobtainable gem in this condition. This is the legendary "Les Valseurs" (The Waltzers / The Dancers), produced by the iconic Parisian toy maker Fernand Martin around 1908. What makes this specific piece a true museum object is not only the exceptionally beautiful, original condition of the dancing pair (the fabric clothing, the paint on the tin faces, and the mechanism), but also the presence of the extremely rare original cardboard box. Cardboard boxes for Fernand Martin toys nearly always disappeared at the time; a surviving example in this condition is a worldwide absolute rarity.
