The example on auction is a 1986 328 GTS delivered new in Italy, in a rare Blu Scuro Metallizzato with Beige interior, particularly rare and sought after. The GTS configuration and the Pininfarina signature design make it one of the most representative Ferraris of Maranello’s 1980s production. This first series is also without Kat and without ABS, a rare combination and even more appreciated. EXTERIOR The exterior body is in the original Blu Scuro Metallizzato, generally a single repaint, showing some signs of age and use such as scratches, gravel chipping and dings with minor localized corrosion. It has never had a full restoration. Doors and bonnets open and close smoothly, and the car is generally presentable. A polishing and detailing treatment has been completed. The original wheels are preserved in excellent condition, as are the original details and Pininfarina logos. A thickness gauge test did not reveal any accidents, as the Carfax certificate confirms. The undercarriage is generally solid and well preserved, has never undergone a restoration and shows no evidence of accidents. INTERIOR The beige leather interior is factory original. It shows some signs of wear overall, with dashboard, seats and trims, but they are complete with the rare and series-specific details. The rare roof panel cover is also in place behind the seats. The gauge cluster is complete with the typical three-spoke steering wheel. A full sanitation has just been performed. The electric windows function, as do the windows that raise and lower correctly. MECCANICA Mechanically the car runs, the original V8 has benefited from documented maintenance over the years, as evidenced by the attached invoices. Brakes, gear change, clutch and gear engagements are all functioning, and the car is drivable and has been test-driven. As with any historic car that has spent a period with little use, before the next technical check and regular use, it is advisable to perform normal general maintenance.
