Festina Tour de France 100 “Grand Tour Chrono” – Limited Edition We propose a fascinating Festina Chrono Bike Limited Edition, part of the special series dedicated to the 100th edition of the Tour de France. To enhance this specimen in auction, we present it under the name “Grand Tour Chrono,” inspired by the historic collaboration between Festina and the world of professional cycling. The watch is offered new in box, complete with its spectacular original Limited Edition presentation case and the accessories visible in the photographs. A set particularly interesting for both the Festina collector and the cycling and Tour de France memorabilia enthusiast. Case and materials The case is mainly made of stainless steel, with a robust and decidedly sporty build. The bezel features a brushed metal finish with large raised numerals, alternated with dark elements that echo the color of the case and bracelet. The caseback bears Festina Limited Edition engravings, the individual numbering No. 01757, the indication Sapphire Crystal, All Stainless Steel and the declared water resistance of 10 ATM / 10 BAR. The crystal is sapphire, a material highly valued in watchmaking for its exceptional scratch resistance. The case has substantial dimensions, in the typical style of Festina Chrono Bike of the era: about 45 mm in diameter, excluding the crown, with a thickness of about 13-14 mm. Measurements should be considered indicative. Dial and colors The dial features a predominantly black, anthracite, and steel color combination, with metallic applied indices and silver details. The tri-compax layout gives the timepiece a strongly sporty stance. The contrast between the black dial and the metallic surfaces also ensures good legibility and gives the watch a technical, aggressive, and immediately recognizable appearance. The bracelet repeats the watch’s color scheme with dark elements and steel details, completed by a robust Festina clasp. Battery power allows higher precision than most traditional mechanical movements and enables management of the various chronograph functions. Year and history This specimen can be traced to 2013, the year of the 100th Tour de France edition. The bond between Festina and cycling represents one of the best-known chapters in the brand’s modern history. The Chrono Bike collection was born from the meeting between Festina’s sporty identity and the world of cycling competitions, becoming over the years one of the brand’s most recognizable lines.
