Figure - Clownband (5) - .800 silver

These artworks are five clowns produced in Italy, made of enamelled at least .800 silver and copper, depicting a musical troupe. With their dimensions, these silver figures are a real eye-catcher in any collection of antiques and artworks. The musical group consists of - a violinist, 6 cm - a clown with a marching bass drum, 6 cm - a violinist, 5.5 cm - a trumpet player, 5 cm - and a harmonica player, 5.5 cm - The total weight of the five clowns is 231 grams. The clowns were designed in the late 20th century by the Italian artist Vittorio Angini and manufactured in an Italian silversmith workshop. They are a true feast for the eyes for collectors and lovers of silver objects. The clowns were crafted with a lot of love for detail. The .800 silver is partially enamelled. Punch marks or maker’s marks are largely absent. This is not unusual, as many of these clowns were not marked at the time. Condition see photos. No damage known/visible.
