Figurine - Le Thérapeute - Resin

In excellent/mint condition, including storage boxes and certificates. Made of polystone, hand-painted by craftsmen at Parastone. Le Thérapeute, 1967 In Magritte's last year of life, the famous dealer Alexandre Iolas asked him whether he had ever considered making sculptures as well. The painter had certainly thought about it, but those would have to be exclusively sculptures based on motifs from his paintings. Le Thérapeute reflects a number of themes typical of Magritte's work: the extraordinary in the ordinary, the surprising and the unexpected, the mystery. Height: 20.5 cm The lot will be securely packed and sent by registered mail.
