In the 1920s, a sparkling diamond ring was not just a piece of jewelry, but also a statement - a symbol of elegance, self-confidence and the glamour of a new, modern era. The electric lights of the big city, the glittering nights in the nightclubs and the incomparable flair of this decade between the two world wars provided the perfect stage for fine jewels that shone just like their wearers. This ring, made around 1925, is an outstanding example of a piece of jewelry from this era. Crafted in luxurious platinum, the ring face rises up in the clear, symmetrical design language of Art Deco. An impressive diamond weighing 0.80 ct sparkles in the center in a poor bezel setting. Two further large old-cut diamonds, together weighing 0.60 ct, flank it harmoniously. Unusually, the pointed oval with flattened corners is not mounted vertically but horizontally above the finger. Due to its shape, this is also referred to as a "boat ring" This dazzling trio is framed by six further old-cut diamonds and 26 small diamond roses, which wrap around the ring face like a sparkling band and sparkle in finely sawn ornaments together with millegrains. The cool radiance of the platinum enhances the brilliance of the stones and lends the ring the timeless elegance for which pieces of jewelry from the 1920s are still loved today. Whether for glittering parties, an evening at the theater or as a stylish everyday companion - this ring is a piece of jewelry with a captivating presence that still effortlessly attracts attention today. The ring came to us from southern Germany. It comes with a detailed appraisal.
