Fine English Regency ebonised twin fusee bracket clock with pull repeat by Henry Favre, London, signed silvered 7" square dial, with strike/silent lever, Roman numeral dial, with outer Arabic numeral track, blued steel hands and calendar aperture, the movement with an engraved back plate, verge escapement rack striking the hours on a bell, with locking pendulum bob, within a bell top glazed case with applied gilt metal mounts, circular dial aperture, gilt metal bracket feet and surmounted with a brass swing carry-handle, 18" with the handle raised (with winding key and two case keys) ** Henry Favre was watchmaker to the Prince Regent and the Duke of York and was known to work between 1800 and 1818 at 27 Pall Mall, London ** Private provenance purchased from Dreweatt Neate in November 1993, ex lot 304
