“ FLOWN HARDERWIJK, NETHERLANDS – FLAG LIBERATION APRIL 1945 – L.S.H. (ROYAL CANADIANS)” Uniquely historical WWII liberation item from April 1945, consisting of an original Dutch red-white-blue flag with handwritten inscription and an accompanying old military photo. On the white edge of the flag is, among other things, handwritten: “FLOWN HARDERWIJK, NETHERLANDS – FLAG LIBERATION APRIL 1945 – L.S.H. (ROYAL CANADIANS)” c.h.k (Initials soldier) The mention L.S.H. (Royal Canadians) refers to Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians), a Canadian unit involved in the liberation of Harderwijk in April 1945. Additionally, with the flag there is an original old black-and-white photo depicting Canadian soldiers during a military parade or parade arrival. The photo shows signs of aging and damage on the left side, clearly visible in the photos. Dimensions: 140 x 100 CM In good, but of course used condition.
