Alle Auktionen / Zeitgenössische Kunst / Flavia Delgado - TACO XL
TACO is a 70 x 100 cm painting by Flavia Delgado that celebrates one of the most recognizable icons of popular gastronomy through an aesthetic inspired by vintage advertising, Pop Art, and mid-20th-century commercial graphics. With a direct, vibrant image full of personality, the work transforms a everyday dish into a powerful visual statement about culture, flavor, and the pleasure of sharing. The composition is built around a large taco overflowing with fresh, colorful ingredients. The texture of the tortilla, the intense tones of the filling, and the small vegetable details turn the image into a homage to Mexican cuisine and the visual richness of its flavors. On the scene appears the word TACO in monumental letters, as if it were a poster from an old advertising campaign meant to catch the eye from a distance. The color palette rests on a combination of bright turquoise, warm yellows, intense reds, and deep blacks. These contrasts create a dynamic, optimistic image that recalls classic hand-painted advertisements, where graphic simplicity and visual impact were central. The expressive lines and bold outlines give character and energy, reinforcing the link between contemporary art and popular design. Beyond the culinary representation, the work speaks of cultural identity and collective celebration. The taco appears as a symbol of tradition, creativity, and culinary mestizaje. Its presence evokes markets teeming with life, family gatherings, lively streets, and the power of food to bring people together around a shared experience. The large yellow circle dominating the background functions as a radiant sun, contributing a warm and festive atmosphere. This element makes the scene more than just a still life, suggesting a sense of joy, abundance, and vitality associated with the landscapes and cultures of the American continent. With an accessible visual language, colorful and strong in graphic force, TACO combines humor, design, and tradition to pay homage to one of the great icons of world gastronomy, transforming it into a contemporary image capable of awakening both appetite and a smile. SHIPPING: The work is offered directly by FLAVIA DELGADO, guaranteeing its authenticity with a certificate signed by the artist herself. The painting (UNFRAMED) will be carefully rolled and protected inside a sturdy cardboard tube for shipment. After payment is confirmed, a period of three days is required to prepare the piece and ship it. The delivery time will depend on the destination, with a maximum of up to ten business days.
