oil on panel, 31 x 26cm, framed 37 x 31cm, A label verso states that the painting belonged to Miss Auchinleck (d.1812). Condition Report, Condition Report, Possibly 17th century. The panel has some curvature with a horizontal split through the lower centre. Craquelure and light surface dirt. There is a scratch beneath the sitter's left eye which has been retouched. There is an area of restoration to the background and crown in the upper left quarter. Not examined under UV light, for a full report please contact the department.
