Fort Stockton is nonetheless a rare community for National Bank Notes as the First National Bank (Charter# 9848) which was the city's sole note-issuing bank records a measly population of just five non-institutional notes in the National Bank Note Census. To that end, offerings on this bank are as rare as could expect. The most recent auction appearance for this charter before the Copeland holdings hit the market dates to 2021, but even if were one to consider the mid-grade T1 $20 that sold a few months back in our Summer 2026 Global Showcase Auction (Lot 21219) it takes little to understand that this is a rare opportunity regardless of the numismatic context.
