Foscarini - Lagranja Design - Hanging lamp - Uto...

Foscarini "Uto" is a playful and versatile pendant lamp that combines functionality and design in a unique way. Designed by the Spanish design collective Lagranja Design in 2005, this lamp offers a fresh take on lighting, with flexibility and creativity at its core. The Uto's design is characterized by a slender, tapered shade made of thermoplastic elastomer, a material that feels soft to the touch yet durable. The shade is connected to a flexible hose of the same material, allowing the lamp to be easily shaped into different forms and positions. This unique construction makes the Uto suitable for a variety of applications: as a pendant, wall lamp, or even as a floor lamp. The polycarbonate diffuser provides soft, even light diffusion, while the IP44 rating makes the lamp suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. With a total length of 195 cm and a shade diameter of 20 cm, the Uto offers ample flexibility for creative installations. The lamp is fitted with an E27 socket, suitable for light sources up to 60W and is available in white as well as several colors, including yellow and orange. An on/off switch is integrated into the flexible hose, right above the shade, for easy use.
