This note represents the final signature combination used for a long-lived design that lingered into the 1910s. Here the engraved signatures of Parker and Burke can be encountered alongside the familiar embellishments of the design dubbed the "Tombstone" alongside the distinctive denim-blue Treasury overprint favored by the short-lived Series of 1908 which stands as arguably the most eye-catching trait of this specimen. Rich denim-blue shades beckon here against the engraved balance with distinct pomp effortlessly enlivening the portrait of Vice President Thomas A. Hendricks (1819-1885) whose portrait is enclosed within a tombstone-shaped portrait.
