France. 10 Euro 2025 "Auschwitz-Birkenau" (No reserve price)

French commemorative silver 10 euro coin, issued in 2025 by the Monnaie de Paris on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp. This issue is distinguished by an exceptionally low edition of only 1,945 copies, chosen in reference to the year of the camp's liberation. It sold out very quickly after its release, and it is now particularly difficult to find in its official complete presentation. The commemorative face depicts hands rising above the barbed wire to symbolically form a dove. A strong composition, conceived by the French engraver Schwartz, evoking both liberation, peace and the necessity of preserving memory. Beyond its numismatic value, this coin is a deeply symbolic issue. The combination of a major historical theme, a particularly expressive design and a limited print run of 1,945 copies makes it a piece likely to remain sought after by collectors of contemporary French coins. The offered specimen is kept in its original official Monnaie de Paris cardette, with its illustrated presentation and its historical text.
