Auction Description (German) France – Classic Philately (Second & Third Republics as well as Empire): Magnificent, extensive lot of 14 historical domestic and business covers / postal stationery (1850s to 1880s), richly populated with Napoleon III (cut & perforated) and classic Cérès issues, diverse cancellations, railway post stamps, and original contents (bank and notarial correspondence) Object Description: A fascinating, museal collection of fourteen (14) classic 19th-century postal items and entire letters, documenting the heyday of classic French postal history.
