Francisco José De Goya y Lucientes (1746-1828). Title: Sopla (Blase) Sheet: #38 Sheet size: 450mm x 310 mm Image size: 183mm x 130 mm This print from the world-famous series comes from the Jean de Bonnot edition (1970). Each print is stamped on the back (guarantee certificate) and certifies that the Bonnot edition was printed from Goya's original plate (engraving) on Velin Lana paper and that it is not a "bromure" (e.g., heliography) (see stamp on the photo in French and Spanish). Each sheet bears the watermark LANA-PUR FIL. Sheet: #38 The monkey plays on the back of the guitar, so it does not cause the strings to sound. The donkey is simple-minded and stupid, applauding although he cannot hear anything. In the donkey, with Goboy as patron saint of the arts meant, stupidity and hypocrisy unite.
