Original copperplate print, etching, aquatint, drypoint Sheet size: 323mm x 228mm Image size: 180mm x 120mm Capricho Edition of 1979 with an introduction by Prof. Pierre Gassier and a commentary by the National Library of Madrid. It was published exclusively for the "Cercle des Professeurs Bibliophiles de France" by Verlag Roissard, Grenoble. This is engraving #65 of copy #. 303 with a circulation of 424 (see photo). Printed on Velin d' Arches paper of excellent quality. According to the contemporary manuscript in the Biblioteca Nacional Madrid, the grotesque depiction criticizes female vices. "Women's lasciviousness and drunkenness result in endless debauchery and real witchcraft".
